Toronto 2017 – Intersecting Brunswick Ave and College Street, this highly pedestrian corner of Toronto has been transformed into a sleek, modern park that will soon be complete to open just in time for the annual “Grading our Greenspace” summer feature. The Doctors’ Park (formerly Brunswick College) Parkette was renamed to commemorate the contributions of the many medical professionals who have lived in the neighbourhood. Featuring hand chiseled stones flown in from Portugual, Pine Valley’s highly skilled Site Servicing, Masonry and Concrete teams have put together an intricate textural showcase of hard surfaces illuminated by modern stainless steel low voltage lighting systems.
Toronto 2017 – “It’s a magical place to sit with friends and family to enjoy a cup of coffee” (BIA). Pine Valley is proud to have constructed the award-winning (“Gateway” category) vision for Baby Point Gardens, designed by Forest and Field, and developed by the Baby Point Business Improvement Area (BIA). Also known as the Methuen Parkette, this new urban space heralds a community gateway and a seating area for leisurely meetups. Located along Methuen Avenue and Jane Street in Toronto, Pine Valley drew upon it’s expertise to fabricate laser-cut weathering steel columns and custom “ipe” wood benches atop a beautifully manicured concrete and interlock walkway. We can’t wait for the lush greenery and colours, once plantings resume in the spring of 2017.
Attention Homeowners! That’s right. Pine Valley is busy on landscape projects throughout the winter. Take advantage of the time now, to ensure you step onto your completed Wood Deck as soon as the snow melts in spring. Whether we are building decks, making a masonry retaining wall or pouring tons of concrete, Pine Valley is experienced in working through Ontario’s cold, icy, and wet winters.
